Project BADASS 99 F150

So yeah I've had this truck since 2001 and it's been awesome even with performance mods.

I finally blew the motor with 200,000km on it about 1.5 months ago and since then I have been piecing together a monster. I've had a procharger on the motor since about 100,000km.

Anyways the new motor came out of a mustang. It has been stroked to 5.0 and has a fully forged bottom end (crank, pistons, rods). It also has a comp cams xe270ah in it. The motor is going in on friday.

Here are some pics so far, I will update on the weekend when I put the motor in.

Here is the truck in its current form. It needs some bodywork but holding up well for being 10 years old.

Here is a picture of the supercharger currently on the old motor:

Here is the new engine:

Here is the intake manifold I just finished cleaning:

No it's a direct swap and I'm using the truck manifolds t-body, wiring harness and computer.... so everything is plug and play. I think all of the sensors match up perfectly as well as do the accessories.

I also had a base tune made so it will run.

I have a guy in texas who does my mail order tunes but I will have to get the truck to a dyno to get it spot on with this setup. Not sure who I will go with locally....

Nice! it sounds like you have under control, did you do a lot of research yourself to figure out your plug and play options? how did you figure out the mount line up? I'm always looking at different engines but I don't want the frame work to make it fit.

Will you be using the Procharger on this one too? Will it bolt up to that front cover? Do you need to transfer the truck oil pan onto the new motor?

stock motor mounts will fit. The procharger plate bolts up and I'll find out about the oil pan and pickup tube during the swap, not too sure about that one but I think because I'm not 4x4 that I can use the mustang oil pan. I'll be running lots of boost on this motor.
