FICM REPROGRAMMING

Anyone tried FICM REPROGRAMMING from PHP on their 6.0l here? I am tempted to give her a go. Just not sure i wanna have a injector or such come flying through the windshield at me cause I'm a moron.

i was tossing around the idea aswell, and from what i hear they can roll back to any old strategy you like. now i was also wondering if i was to run a programmer on the truck if reprogramming the ficm would be a waste of time.
i wouldnt imagine you would have much engine problems because they are still FACTORY strategies you are uploading onto your ficm.

Havn't done it yet myself.

My meager understanding is that FICM reprogramming and Programmers are independent. However i do not know for sure. I need someone with more knowledge than me to be sure.

i am waiting for my prgramming(FICM and ECM rollback), so i can let you know after. also will getting custom tunes for my SCT from them....(be prepared for 4+week wait if you are getting remote programming)

best thing here would be, join the PHP forum and then ask away. they are very good at answering your question`s....

Can you get your pilot injection back that Ford stole from all of us after they sold us on the new "quiet idle" diesel?

from what i understand, you can get pilot injection, but won`t work well if you also have inductive heat strategy(aids in cold weather start ups). they are working on it....

PHP can do a rollback flash or you can get a performance flash from them aswell. The FICM programming and PCM programming are seperate all together so it will not interfere with your tuner at all. There are a few places that offer performance FICM flashes PHP and innovative being a couple. PHP doesn;t offer remote tuning anymore unless you have the gryphon tuner which why would you they used to send you one remote tune and you send it back but with border issues (delays) they don't do this anymore. YOu can also upgrade your voltage to 58v which makes your injectors "open" faster and hold longer giving you more power in return, I have heard in some cases 40hp on a stock truck.

I've been looking into sending my FICM to these guys: http://ficmrepair.com/. Seem to be very popular and reliable. I'm sure I read somewhere they used to do the 58v thing but went away from it as it created other issues.
