Angry P-0305

Here we go AGAIN now it's telling me a misfire on #5,So I guess I'm off work again,3rd time in a month.I guess I'm pullin out #5 to see if it is on it's way out.Like #7 did 3 week's ago.

Went and got 7 New spark plugs,May as well replace the other 7 to be safe.

How did you make out MRGADGET? I am very interested in this thread because my 04 F-150 came up with #7 misfire.....I changed the coil pack. Seemed ok for a day then the same shudder. I checked the codes now I have #5 misfire just like you.

p.s. I am going to send ya a pm just incase you don't see this because of the age of the thread.

Thanks Fordwheller......just wanted to make sure I am not missing something and start replacing all these coil packs when it could be something else.

Try swapping you new #7 cop for your misfiring #5 cop and see if the code changes cylinders

Thanks for all the info guys.....The plugs were replaced only about 2k ago. I have decided to not replace anymore ford coils. I ordered a complete set of 8 40,000 volt Accel coils. I should have them in a few days and will report back.

hi saleen:did you check #5 for moisture build up,is a common concern from leaking therm housing gasket?
