Inline 6 rebuild

With my tax return coming up I was wondering If I should rebuild my Inline 6. When it gets rebuilt I will add a k&n highflow intake throttlebody spacer and redo my exhaust. And for the transmission, that should be done at the same time, I was going to do a stage 1 shift kit and higher torque converter. What am I looking for cost wise at the engine and tranny?

'cause 91 octane in something that has 288k on it does a good job of cleaning the engine. Which means just cause I can afford race fuel doesnt mean I should use it on something that is being held together by oil build up. And an update I just recieved a free Inline 6 engine from a guy at work says it ran when parked last summer and has about 200k on it. So Im trying to find a rebuild kit for the truck but my search has been fairly futile every supplier is in the US.

Nitrous is like a beautiful girl with an STD. You know you want to hit it but you're afraid of the consequences

why not just swap in a newer lower mileage motor?? Easier and probably cheaper. Then you can build it up out of the truck.

VMP and 5-Star tuned no more

when you pull the inline out you will see why it has only one lift hook
