i use royal purpal full synthetic i noticed the difference in the engine response aswell as fuel milage (not very much but there was a small gain) i also run the royal purpal ice (for the rad) according to the gauge it runs alot cooler

for my daily driver i run reg oil generaly the ford stuff with a ford oil filter non of that crappy fram shit

I just use Castrol GTX High Mileage 5W30 in mine. I change the oil every 3 months, I could prolly go longer like 6 months since I only put about 450 Kms/Month on my truck. I change the filter to with a Motocraft one.

i just use what it says. I mean syn. oil is good, but its a long lasting, better protecting oil...BUT that being said, if you change your oil every 3 months or 5000KM's, do you need long lasting?

I put Synthenics into my BMW since i run it hard and in higher RPMs (not that i know it helps for sure, but it makes me feel better) but as for a DD, and you infact change it often, ide stick with the cheaper non-synthetic

i herd that its not good to use fully synthetic oil on bran new engines because its two thin and they cylinders need to make there grooves first or something like that. and if you use it on really high mileage engines it may get rid of the carbon build up thats keepin it from leakin oil or something

I use Amsoil 0w-20 full synthetic. getting ready to change all the oil through out the truck to Amsoil.:icon_cool:

not really into synthetic

I believe in using regular oil and change it regularly.

An engine builder friend never recommends synthetic. He does recommend adding zinc to any engine older than about 2000. STP will do.

Any oil stamped as being "approved for use on gasoline engines" needs a zinc supplement if used on an older engine.

With the new truck I've decided to run full synethic, first change was ford full synethic, but the next will be Mobil1, as it is cheaper and better thanks to Crappy Tire!

recommended by the manual to change it every 6mth or 12k. I'm doin the change every 10k. or ford will be with my oil.

10w30 4 times a year. New season, new oil, no synthetics - too many leaks.
