Storage advise

I recently purchased an older (1981) Scamper motor home with a ford 460 engine and Auto trans. I then replaced all the gaskets and seals(almost). The valve cover gaskets the oil pan and rear seal.

I am assuming I had to replace all this because this vehicle was stored for long periods(several years). And they dried up.

I don't want to have replace these things again so I plan to start it up every once in awhile. It's going into storage for the winter in a couple of weeks.

My question is what time frame should I start it up and let her run. I was thinking about once a month. What do you think?

The Older I get the better I was!!

Once a month I fire up the '87 Harley ,and for every 20 liters of fuel I add 2 Cups of methyl hydrate to keep the gas from gumming up the carb, assuming your '81 460 isn't fuel injected.Ogre
