I wonder if all that carbon on the pistons is something to be concerned about?

thats a bit more then normal for a new engine.... even after what it was put through. Could have been the baja and all the dirt.... could also be from the direct injection.


Id be more concerned about the bad cylinder pressure and what caused it......

your going to see problems in every level of engine.

I'm glad they are actually admitting to some problems.
now to see what they say if they find out what caused the low pressure. aka no sugar coating. will be nice.

also any regular engine with actually 150,000miles on it. usually runs into some major problems..
At least thats what i have found with my prior vehicles.

you got to think 163,000 miles is like 262,323.072 klm thoes are hard klms not like goin to wallmart or home depo on the weekends. so i think that it performed well to prove that it is built ford tough and will last in a truck.

I like the log/tree pulling video and the 24 hour full throttle around the track video, Lets see Chebi or Dogit run full throttle around a track pulling a trailer for 24h

They could do it Grant..altho it would take the full 24 hour run to make 1 lap..lol

i think ford is doing very well with this new eco boost motor showing the way thats for sure over yota an dodge an chevy way to go blue oval
