man i remember that from years ago.
i use napa which is a rebranded WIX filter so its the best.

personally I use the Quaker State Synthetic oil filters

Good read Dave...i use whatever i can get here..Fram and Wix...never had a problem with either..

I wont use a fram on any of my gas engines. Yet for my diesel fram is one of the 3 recommended filters.

I hear ya Chris..Fram ain't a well liked filter, alot of horror stories.Weird that the diesel recommends it..wonder what the difference is.

Well I'll tell ya Glen.

For the 6.0 Ford of course recommends a Motorcraft branded filter. Said filter is made by Racor which also makes the filter for Fram for the 6.0 application. Wix for example makes a filter for the 6.0 which is a bit shorter in length allowing oil to pass by the filter unfiltered.

Trust me I was pretty surprised when I heard/read this.
