My engine dies when I turn on my fan on high and the battery is drained.
Is it it the blower fan motor draining energy out of the battery or the alternator has a problem. Everything else, like the wipers, headlights and radio works fine but as soon as turn on my fan, the engine loses power and the battery is dead. I boosted the truck and it starts right away and everything works but as soon as I turn on the fan…the engine loses power and dies.

Yes indeed. I took the resistor out and it was burned and corroded. Thankfully I don’t have to replace the blower motor. But will need a new harness too as it’s burned.

lucky you it burned the wire only otherwise it could do more damage. I had something same issue with GMC and it caused a lot of damage. I had to get almost half of the front end from Orangeville Junk Car Removal |Georgetown Scrap Car Removal|Get rid of my car Caledon

I actually had to replace the alternator too.
