99 body swap from 2wd to 4wd

Hey all, I have a 99 Ranger 4L 5sp 4x4 with a smashed body, Im lookin at a 99 3L 2wd Ranger with an auto, how hard would it be to swap the cab? Is all of the cab wiring the same? It looks like the ECM and most of the under hood wires would stay hooked to the motor and I could just swap them to the new cab? Has anyone done this before? Did ya have any problems?
