From what I've heard, Rogers will not be getting the iPhone anytime soon, the reason being, the way in which Apple 'sells' the product to the phone companies. I guess Rogers doesn't want to 'donate' some of their profits back to Apple. Also, if you get an unlocked iPhone off the web, you will be able to use it on the Rogers network, just not to its full capacity, again because of how the iPhone operates and how Rogers network is setup.
I'm more than likely going to get one, but not for another year or so, maybe by then Rogers and Apple will have settled their differences and the iPhone will have more memory.

Just about every major cell company out in canada will be getting the iphone, its just a matter of when. Rogers hasnt set any official dates for it yet, and bell and telus will probably be 6mths to a year after rogers releases it. And ya, apple has some really specific things that a cell company has to do and right not rogers doesnt really wanna do it. I have a guy i worked with who had one unlocked and put on rogers and he loves it.

I heard fall of 08 for the iphone at rogers. I also heard if you have an unlocked iphone, it will not work with the rogers plan when it is available at rogers come fall. Some sort of new software, which is no big deal, just set the iphone back to normal and your all set to go.
