Hello everyone ?. Need some help cause I'm new in this. I have a F-150, 2009, 5.4 L.
My engine light was on so I booked a service. On the way to the mechanic the light went off. They still serviced it checking in the history. After I got it back a few hoylurs later the light went on again. Any ideas what I can do cause I can't afford to pay 300$ every time till they find what's up

They are a bit expensive up front but a code scanner tool will pay for itself in the long run. Maybe a friend has one?

A scanner is a bit expensive unless you can pull your own wrenches. A basic code reader can be bought for about $40. or so. Read the code and then ask what the code means. Welcome to the site.
