f-250 coilpack issues?

My Uncle owned i think 2003 Ford F-250 with a V-10. The truck never had miles put on it because he only towed his 5th wheel to camp sites and florida in the winter , other then that it sat in a heated garage(never winter driven) Well just this summer he started having trouble with the spark plugs...apparently they have coil packs on them and his kept blowing upon start up. he went through 3 in a matter of a month and they're $200 each!

Just wondering if anyones had this problem?
