Hi everybody will be doing fluids change soon with 70kkm on a 2017, has anyone gone back to 75w140 for the rear axle?

Hey there, welcome to the forum! Congrats on reaching 70kkm on your 2017 vehicle. As for your question about the rear axle fluid, I personally haven't gone back to 75w140, but I know some people do prefer it for added protection in extreme conditions or for towing. However, I think the recommended fluid for the rear axle on your vehicle is probably a 75w90 synthetic gear oil, so you might want to stick with that unless you have a specific reason to switch.

Thanks for the reply, Ford had a similar change in the 2000 for lighter oil and went back to 75w140 up to 2014. As we say time will tell !
