So how was urs?
Mine could have went better..
Wife got into an accident with the new car.. 1:00 (lunch) on the 24th..
some crack head (seriously.. has a huge criminal record) drove thru a stop sign and she T-Boned him in the drivers door.. No the air bags didn't go off..

She's okay.. bump on the knee from hitting the dash, which is getting better and small pain in the chest which hit the steering wheel, which has simmered down since x-mas day..

He said he was hurting bad and took an Ambulance to the hospital but left before they checked him out.. Since he has unpaid fines for a bunch of things (drugs, unlicensed firearms etc).. As well doesn't have a drivers license.. Everyone was assuming he had something in his system, or with him..

I was @ work when she called me in.. I left work early and went to the impound lot which is locked and soo I took a pic from the distance..

We have only had the car for 4weeks to be exact...
I honestly don't want the car anymore because don't want to have to deal with the front-end problems later down the road..

As well we added the Premium Car Plus ESP Ford Warranty to the car.. Does anyone know how this will be affected??
The dealership told me the first thing they ask is has the vehicle been modified..
Well wouldn't an accident be considered as modified?? Will it void my warranty?

Like I said since we have only had the car for a month I don't want it anymore and would like to just get a new one..
but have to wait an see...

Damn man what a bad way to start xmas hope ur wife gets better.. and i have no clue about the warranty sorry :|
I hope everything is OK like Denis said Bad wayto start xmas, as for your as for your warranty wouldn;t have a clue but think a fender bender wouldn't affect anything as long as it was possibly done by a ford dealership ???

isn;t the premium care package for like when you go for service they supply a ride for you ?? another car, and once vehicle is done service they wash it
don't quote me on that as for you don't want it buddy your stuck with it Sorry
Glad your wife is ok. That looks like a nasty hit for the air bags not to have gone off.
Not much help on the warranty...sorry, getting a new car not sure how that works in Ont. but here the damage value has to be a percentage of the value of the car in order to right it off other wise they will fix it for you( been through that and mine was right on the amount where it was my choice to right it off or fix it)
If I had decided to have it fixed the claim would have been left open for 12 months to cover anything that was not visible such as motor and tranny.
I had mine 28 days when this all happened but that is an interesting story as it was the cops that smashed mine up AFTER a high speed chase involving my car....:icon_rolleyes::icon_rolleyes:

Why didn't you just stop when they put on the light :)
They must of wanted you to smash into your ride hahaha, did ya flip him the finger, kidding so what did you do keep or right off your car
The good news that your wife was OK, sorry to hear about the car(don't forget cars can be fixed)
Have the dealer repair it and your warranty will not be effected
I don't think insurance will write it off, they will fix it unless, you have engine damage, see if the dealer can find frame problem with it, that may help
Sorry to hear about your story
good luck and keep us posted

If the roof is buckled than it may be in the write off category, but if the damage is front end only with no airbag deployment it is repairable. Glad to hear your wife is okay.

Although the airbags do not need to be deployed in some cases : How to write off a car and not deploy airbags but walk away

No I took the money and ran:icon_biggrin:
No way I was stopping because I didn't do anything wrong so why should I :icon_lol: but when they lay out that big old spike belt and ruin all four tires and 1 rim....one must come to a stop:icon_rolleyes:

Actually what happened was my car was stolen and the young fella was heading to Toronto with a few friends (all under 16) high speed chase 100+miles per hour took the spike belt to stop it all and when my car stopped and a few seconds later the cop car also went over the spike belt and lost control and hit my car jamming it into a culvert:icon_sad:
Then they wanted me to pay for the cop car.....and no I did not pay for it
I told them my insurance doesn't cover stupidty so they will have to pay for their own:icon_lol: :icon_lol:
Thats a very brief idea of what happened but it got a lot more detailed in the weeks after it all happened........ended up getting a check for more than I paid for the car plus a tax rebate
Sorry for the thread jack Viper238

Sorry to hear about your loss

sorry dude!

Well they wrote off her car finally..

After the accident.. I worked the insurance company and finally got them to write if off since there was frame damage.. original repair quote was 10,200 and then I had to make sure it was compliant with the premium care warranty so then the quote went up to 11,500 and then I made them appraise the car, and they came to a conclusion that is was a border line write off and since I didn't want to deal with a car that had frame damage for the next 6yrs.. And the fact that we just got it 4weeks to the day when she got into the accident.. I was pushing for the total loss..

Yesteday we picked up her new 'to us' '05 Escape XLT 4wd 3.0L dark charcol with grey interior..

I will get some pics as soon as it's not so dang cold out and can wash my truck!
