only reason I'm asking is becuaes when i swapped my 5.0 in place there were 2 lifting brackets that were on my tranny. With the 5.0 cause of the difference in how it sits than the 4.9 i had to remove the brackets cause they were hitting just behind the firewall.

I'm using my original 3.0L mounts and making my own plates that will fit for all three mounting positions. So far everything looks good. I'm gonna redo my mounts so that the headers fir right.

I asked Roush69 to come and visit us, He is master mechanic at Ford with tons of experience, he may have some ideas for you

As it stands now I've pushed the engine over to drivers side 1/2" and pulled it up a bit more. The drivers side has no issues at all anymore but the passenger side is still touching the heater box. Since this is going to be a summer driver only I'm thinking about triming the box a little bit to allow the clearence I need then get some silicone and sealing it. Other then taking the heater right out I still don't see any other options. Any advice or opinions is extremely welcomed. Anyways, I'm gonna leave it for now and redo all three mounts as I have massacured them today trying to get things figured out so hopefully by this next weekend I have it started up with the headers on and the ignition system going.

I'm just trying to figure out wether or not I'm going to use the heater since this truck wont be driven in the winter, do I just take the heater box off or do I trim it and seal it. I'm holding off today for the race and am going to figure this out today I figure.

if it was a Memhis Belle amp you'd know it. They were massive and about 2500 watts if I remember correctly. Also had Memhis Belle on 3 parts of them. Still though Memphis makes great products.:t-up:
