for christmas i imagine i'll be sporting a few hundred dollars worth of canadian tire gift cards and i've been wanting a tool box for the truck for a while now.

they only seem to sell "delta" brand for metal boxes which seems a good brand since i see em around often. how do i determine if one will fit my truck (2008 ranger)? most of them state for fullsize trucks, and a few say for compact truck.

do i just go with the compact sizing?

also without going into heavy detail how are those boxes attached to the bed?

can you get some measurements from some other rangers with one installed? i had a black plastic one in my 90 f250 and i drilled thru the plastic and box rail and put a bolt thru it...probably not what you wanted to hear..i can't imagine the newer ones being like that.

Yes the compact one will fit. And if you don't want to drill holes through the top of your bed's sidewalls, you can always use J-bolts to hook onto the lip of your sidewall.
