Re: Chip or Programmer for computer tuningand and/or monitoring of your engine

don't have one yet. But after doing some extensive research on the net I will now be able to burn my own chips! All for less than $160US :all-good:

it's unbelieveable what you can mod on it. I played around on a Mustang bin file today and there are so many different one's for fuel delivery it's unreal. The best part is that you can kill the top speed limiter! :A-OK:

Priced them out yesterday when I ordered filter, but not sure what my future plans are going to be.

If I ever sell the daily driver, that money goes towards a whipple supercharger!

That is why my exhaust and intake mods have been low buck!

I ordered my Edge Evo programmer this week and should have it by Monday. Unfortunately I hear that the new 07 tune gives an error on startup and causes the check engine light to stay on.

There is apparently a new beta that was released yesterday that hopefully will fix the problem, so I'm crossing my fingers. I'll let you know how it goes.

What power is gained with the tuner?

Edge claims 25hp and 35lb-ft. The biggest thing I'm looking for is the firmer shifts in the transmission and a little extra low-end tourque for city driving.

Does super offer any read-out displays, or is it just a programmer?

So, do you just pick the level and you are good to go?
