new gas tank comes in tommorow!(friday)
so i will be pick that up and painting it then, gonna install it and put some fuel in,
the box sides are ready for fiber glass and prime, i just gotta find some new
flat head carrage bolts for the fenders..

So the new gas tank are you gonna put rubberized under coating / rocker guard on it over the paint or just paint ? or your bolts try TSC and look at " plow bolts " in farming

hey whats with the larger 1/4" brake line for the rear brakes from the master to the prop?

Discussion starter · #56 ·
yes its from the master to the prop,
thats the size of line i decided to use i could have use a 3/8 like the rest of the breaks lins but i figured this is how it was suppose to be

change it to 3/16" like the rest or you will have some funky rear brake problems and will probably screw up your prop valve.

ohh okay
thanks
i didnt have the haynes manual when i did them breaks 2years ago and never though anything of it to check to see if i was right or not,
thanks for the help,

sense i had my carb rebulit and the floats adjusted and my air/fuel screws set, my idel was around 2000, so i tryed moving my distributor and not i cant get the motor to idel again, my motor doesnt have a timming finger on it and i havent found one that bolts up to it,
is it easyer to set the timming by vacume? or with a timming finger and markings on the ballancer??
either way i'm gonna have to do it by vacume

There will be a throttle adjustment screw on the linkage of that carb to adjust your idle speed. NEVER move distributor to adjust idle speed. Just asking for grief. Sounds like you have retarded the timing and that's why it won't idle. Find a pointer and timing light and time it properly.

Okay thanks for the help I'll see what I can do about finding a timming finger

I had the motor ideling and I had the idel screw. Almost all thhe way out to drop the idel and
It 2as still up at 2000rpm
How can I get it to drop to less then 1000rpm ?
